Hello and welcome to my private practice website. My office is located in the heart of Claremont. I am walking distance or a bike ride away from the (5C's). I provide in person sessions, Telehealth or combination of both for people living in the state of California.

I have been a practicing therapist since 2013. I specialize and have extensive training and experience in the treatment of adults who are experiencing symptoms of trauma, depression, anxiety, relational issues, adjustment difficulties, chronic pain, sports related issues.

I follow a somatic approach to therapy which means that I help people connect the mind and body through identifying feelings and then identifying where the sensation connected to the feeling is sensed in the body. Energy from our life events are stored in our bodies and it sometimes can become stuck. This is where somatic interventions can help release and reorganize energy in the body. Our thoughts affect our physical bodies and it's important to work with both.

I incorporate teachings about the biology of the body and I help normalize common stress reactions that happen in all of us as human beings with nervous systems. In the therapy room I integrate neuroscience and convey that we have the capacity and power to change the way our brain is wired. I also introduce nervous system regulation skills that can help mitigate common stress reactions in the body.

My main treatment modality is the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). I am EMDR trained.

When I am not in my private practice I work for a wonderful non-profit called the Trauma Resource Institute (TRI). I am a senior trainer and consultant where I teach and provide consultation for the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) and the Community Resiliency Model (CRM). I teach community members and healthcare professionals from all around the world. I also am a mother, wife and animal lover.
